I'm not really up to speed on javascript but it may be that IE8 still has some problems with js. I know the earlier versions of IE were a bit dodgey on it at times.

Cause it is running correctly with either attempt used so far on Firefox.  Either by changing the template or by changing the css.

But, IE seems to be hangin it up somewhere.

I guess I'm going to look over in the 2.0 board to see if anything has been posted about this at all.

Thanks for your help.  I wish I would have remembered that I moved the code to begin with to the index.template.php file!!!

absolutely you need to change something in your slylesheet.

I haven't seen any forum code or style sheet but I'm pretty confident that it is playing a big role on that system. :)

???

I've reverted the template back to what it was originally (although in the index.template.php file instead of BoardIndex.template.php file)

I changed the .css to

Code: [Select]
#smfFadeScroller
{
   font-size: 1em;
   text-align: center;
        padding: 2px;
        overflow: hidden;
        height: 150px;
}

and it works in Firefox... but not in IE as stated.

It is midnight here.  I'm going to hit the hay and see what I can try tomorrow.
