^^^ I think that guy has lost it (but I still want what he's offering.) He is crazy. Funny though.

Well, it's only 363 megabytes... it can still fit on a CD.

LOL, i find the fact of walking around with simple machines on a CD rather amusing.

hehe yeah, I've always thought about stuff like that. For example, I can walk around with my entire website on my portable 256mb USB Flash Drive. I also thought it would be kinda cool to run a website off of it lol

I wonder how small a server could be, anyone ever tried to run a server on a palm top or maybe a symbian phone.

You could run an LFS server on a USB flash card perhaps...if it only ran apache and perhaps mysql...;)

We're hosted on a dedicated server, administrated primarily by Lewis Media.  However, they're no longer offering hosting to other clients... as far as I know.

That's the case yes - we're hosting/administering the dedicated server, and no longer accepting new hosting clients.

Judging by post count I figure at least 250Mb of that is [Unkown]'s. :D

I once hosted a dialup BBS from two 120k floppies on a 1MHz Apple //e...

I just migrated to SMF with 1300 users and 45,000 posts in 2600 topics and am at 40Mb. The old software didn't have any sort of attatchment or avatar uploads, so that's all text.

That's the size of the actual data and indexes, not of a backup.
