Actually I have a few questions

How do I change the color of the

newsbox background

Text on the board such as SEARCH and ADVANCE SEARCH

The background color and text of the user info box ??

The colors and fonts would be in the style.css file for the Theme in question.  So first off, which theme are you using? The default one? If so, then go into your smf folder, then go to Themes, and then pick default, then open the style.css document.  You will want to copy it into Notepad and make 2 different copies of it so you have a backup if you make changes and affect it's display.
