About a week ago, I installed SMF at the Mondo Cult Magazine site.

Version Information:
Forum version: SMF 1.1.10
Current SMF version: SMF 1.1.10

It's a GoDaddy installation (yes, I used their automated system).  It's a Linux server, PHP 5.x, MySQL 5.0

If you need to know anything else, please ask.

This issue seems to be theme-independent, in that it happens no matter what forum theme we use - SMF Default Theme - Core, Halloween2009, and Cerberus are the themes we've used since setting up.

We have the forum set so that the members' theme defaults to the "Forum or Board Default."  If a new member signs up today and logs in without modifying any of their profile information, they are presented, correctly, with the Cerberus theme.  But if they actually navigate into a discussion, the layout view reverts to SMF Default Theme - Core.  In addition, the navigation menu graphics (Home, Help, Search, etc.), whether tabs or buttons, disappear and are simple links, all crammed together from one to the next.

What it looks like is that at the discussion thread level, a stylesheet - or portion of one - disappears when members are using the forum default for their theme.

If the member edits his/her profile, and changes the theme from "Forum or Board Default" to the actual theme being used (or one that they want), this issue goes away.

Short of posting a sticky topic acknowledging this bug and instructing new users on the work-around, how can we fix this?

Beyond that, we're already seeing some lively discussions and love our SMF!

Thank you.   O:)

Welcome to SMF and we are glad you like it!

Are each of your boards set to use the overall board default?  That setting is Admin > Boards > Modify on a board and scroll down to see the setting?  If these are all set correctly, you might try resetting the paths to all themes in Admin > Configuration > Themes and Layout > Themes and Settings
