I am running Forum version: SMF 1.1.10 and unable to install either the auto keyword mod and also the advertisment mod.....any help is greatly appreciated.

After trying to upload the zip i get the message "The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted".

Welcome to SMF.

Are you uploading these using the package manager?  Try downloading another copy if you are getting that error message.  Have you been able to upload packages before?

yes i am using the upload manager. and even tried uploading different packages...all respond with the same error message.....  :-\

Check to make sure that you have a folder in your /Packages directory named temp and CHMOD it to 777, 775 or 755 depending on what works on your host.

The auto keyword mod only touches one file so I can't imagine why you would have problems with that one.  Try downloading a new copy today and see if anything changes.

The main mod i am trying to upload is the hxxp:ad-mod-1.1.x.zip [nonactive]. I was missing the "temp" folder in the packages. So i went ahead and added it however none of the settings (777,775, or 755) allow me to upload the package.

So i should create a folder called temp in the packages folder. And in the temp folder I should unzip my mod. Then I should change some propoties to 777? I dont remember but ivE done it before. I use zymic. Sorry FOR my bad english and my explaintion but I hope you undertand <:

It didn't work. i just got an error like: the file already exist. please try to delete it and reinstall it.

and when i go to installed packages it says that i don't have any installed packages. and some times when i try to upload a packages it's says something about that zlib doesn't works. and when it doesnät works it means that you need to unzip it manual? i did it but it didn't work. i don't understand. i tried to install enchanted pm popup. just becouse i want to test if it works.. :)

Do you still get the same error that you posted or is it a different error.

@ Engammalsko - It would be better if you open you own topic here unless you want to just follow along with the information.  It makes it quite difficult when each one has a bit different response.

Try this, download my attachment (which is Ad Management for SMF 1.1.10.), then try installing it through your Package Manager.

Sometimes it could be the mirror you are getting the file from.  There is usually a message after you download it that says thanks.  If you can post what mirror the message says it may help us make sure that file is not corrupt.
