Hi,
Is there a way to make the first post of a new member subject to approval?
I have seen the option 'somewhere' but cannot find it now.

Admin > Core Features > Post Moderation (turn on) first of all.

Then you make it so that Regular Members and the lowest post count group have to have their posts approved.

Note there is a bug with RC2/Curve on the post moderation screen - Bug #3976: Post Moderation - permissions/changes cannot be saved. though it has been fixed ready for the next version plus I also posted how to fix it.
