This mod would not allow guests to see uploaded avatars on my forum.

Yep, you are right,  this mod causes a guest to see a "picture not found" error box where the avatar should be.   I uninstalled the mod and avatars are ok again.

Is there a fix in the works?

I use smf 1.1.10, and i have problem in install this mod.. problem with display.template..

Maybe you can see my file (i attach it on this msg).. and help me..

i need alow to guest see only images, but dont see other files attach (zip, rar, mp3, etc).. its possible?

This mod allows your guest to view the preview or thumbnail of the image I think this mod will do the trick. Ill update this post and upload your files later.

I really cannot replicate this issue. If you anyone of you can give me an admin and ftp account so I can check why it doesnt show the avatar for guests then I might know what is really causing that problem.

Just to clarify.. I dont have the problem where users with the permission not to beable to view the mod are unable to.
works perfectly here although i do have one thing that could be updated..

Basically if the image is small to begin like mine is 240x320

it shows a preview of 112x150

when i click the image to show it in full i get undefined on the image. doesnt actually tell me that im not allowed to view the image.
I have attached a screen shot below.

EDIT:
on another note.. how come as guest is dislplays a  msgbox popup but as a member who has been dis allowed the permission it opens a new explorer windows stating

I kinda like the msgbox that gets displayed for guests alot better if that is possible could u make that.

This plugin works great on SMF 1.1.11
maybe a little to good since guests cannot see some of the avatars. Check the screenshot below. Any fix for this?

i think this happens when the avatars are uploaded to the attachment folder?
it would be easy to fix this problem by adding the size om the image in size or. so if the attachment is less than 15kb or so it will not be active on that attachment.

Ahh explains why there isnt a problem with mine then.. I changed the directory avatars are uploaded to.

So guests dont have a problem veiwing avatars.

yeah, but that wont help if you already have 100.000 avatars in the attachment folder  
its impossible to move them to the avatar folder
