Hi,

I'm having an issue with file attachments on my forum (V 1.1.11)

I can attatch attachtments fine, and they upload correctly to my specified attachments folder.

I can see the files using wsftp and if I download them using wsftp they ARE NOT corrupt and open fine.

BUT when I open them from within SMF they have a size of 0 bytes and obviously don't open.

This applies to all users of the forum.

I've done some testing and it seems to only be affecting certain sized files for some reason.
I have tested with .PDF and .MP3 files.

40KB files open OK.
300KB files open OK
900KB files DO NOT open
2.2MB files DO NOT open
5MB files open OK.

I'm now on V1.1.11 but had this for a number of versions now...

Any ideas what might be causing this??

Thanks
Richard

Can you post a screenshot of your attachments settings page?

Thanks for the response Jim,

Just today I was looking at something totally unrelated and noticed that there was a  php.ini file located in the forum root and it had "memory_limit = 8M", I changed this to 32M (my Hosts default value) and now attachments are downloading via SMF correctly.  I guess the scripts were running out of memory but not generating an error (other than delivering 0 size files)

Richard
