SMF 2.0 RC2 - URL parameters problem

Hello, after some struggles in upgrading to SMF 2.0 RC2 i've decided to install a brand new forum via the full installation.
The problem now is that when I access my admin section or anything that has  ; in the url as parameter delimiter the smf gives out:

Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

When I replace those " ; " with regular " & " the forum works.
Do you have something in mind - how to solve this problem?

Can you please post a link to your site.
PM at your own risk, some I answer, if they are interesting, some I ignore.

You might try CHMOD index.php to 644 and see if that helps.

IS there an .htaccess file in the root of your hosting space?

The problem is that some hosts have a funny setup for PHP that does not allow ;'s in their URL's as it "thinks" it is a security risk.

Can you post a phpinfo file? What is a phpinfo() file?

Thank you for your replies:
There is no .htaccess at the current directory, but the root directory .htaccess file was messing with those characters. So, I'll find a way to correct the problem.
Thanks again!

nevyan, any update on this problem? You may want to contact your host regarding this.

I've corrected the root directory .htaccess file - now everything runs smoothly. Thanks again!

Glad you got it sorted out and thanks for letting us know.
