Asking for help with mod support

I'm having an issue with a mod, but I'm stuck as far as finding a solution. Posting in the support topic for that mod has not helped, because the author hasn't appeared and no one else seems to have any ideas for a solution.

What's the appropriate thing to do? I first posted on 12/21 about this. Should I PM the author?

Are you using a custom theme? If so you'll have to edit the code for your theme manually, as per Manual Installation of Mods
