Package installer trouble again

Im running rc3
All my files are set to chmod 777
I have a temp directory in /packages 9wich i check if its there every time i install.
I can download any mod, i can successfully (apparently install) any mods.
My ftp information is valid ,tested, and correct.

Whats the trouble you may ask?

It appears to be installed , but in fact it doesn't change anything, i have files to see if any changes were made, but none whatsoever , but in the admin/packages it appears as installed.

If you hit the uninstall button, does it show you any test failed?

Also, anything in the error log ?

yeah it shows test fail. And no errors, in the error log.

Can you take a screenshot of that screen and post it here please?

That is weird. It partially installed it and partially didn't. Are you sure that there were no errors in the error log after you installed the mod the first time?

yeah no errors , it installed successfully, but didn't write or take effect..the only thing i notice that it put the files included where they supposed to be but it didn't edit none of the sources.

the ones that say successful are because i manually edit them.

Does your host have mod_security installed on the server?
