Newsletter feature

I currently use the newsletter feature in SMF, However many of my sites have over 500 members. I am currently running into issues with my host limiting the number of emails that can be sent to 500 per hour. I am obviously seeking out a new host but it appears that they all have this system in place.

I am wondering if version 2.0 will have a fix for this or if one can be quickly added. Some sort of scheduling to spread out the emails in the newsletter. I obviously dont need them all sent at the same time.

For example
Hour 1 the first 400 emails are sent
Hour 2 another 400 are sent
etc etc etc

I believe with "scheduled tasks" somehow you can do this...

Admin > Maintenance > Mail > Settings

Set how many emails to send maximum per minute in there.

perfect thank you. Is there a spot to make these changes in ver 1.xx ?

No because 1.1 doesn't support the mail queue feature.

This is the 2.0 support board; 2.0 does support it.
