Can someone confirm this as an actual error. My host's error log is reporting multiple errors as follows:
PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected '@' in /forum/index.php on line 70

Line 70 of index.php reads:
$db_connection = @mysql_connect($db_server, $db_user, $db_passwd);

Is this correct?

It looks correct. Did you edit any of the syntax in Index.php? The error is saying that the '@' symbol in that line shouldn't be there... Or did you install any mods that might have changed this?

Post your version of SMF and any mods, please.

I can't let the irony pass by unchallenged...  You are looking to have a forum where you host cracked software - which is a willful violation of the license agreement for that software, and yet you are concerned about the subtleties of the SMF license to ensure you don't stray from it?

What version of PHP are you using? And is there errors in the SMF error log?
