buttons instead of text

i tried everything that i did while i was using smf 1.1.11 to show buttons on every post like "reply, modify, quote,etc" but i was unable to do so on smf 2 rc3... what should i do??

i'm using a custom theme and not defualt

Admin - Configuration - Current Theme

Here you can make some settings you wish

Other settings depends on user permissions. Have a look at Admin - Members - Permissions - General

there are no options related to buttons... in smf 1.1.11 there was an option to select either button or text but in smf 2 rc3 i cant find any option
