How to stop all spiders and bots in 2-rc3

Extremely new to this. Installed SMF 2.0,rc3 to the server via webinstall. Still trying to understand permissions and groups. the site is running without mods and is using the default theme.

I would like to prevent all spiders and bots from accessing the site. What is the procedure for doing this?

Is there a .pdf manual that I can download?
