attachment size confusion

Hi, I am confused about the attachment size:

in the ACP there are such options for attachments:

1.Max attachment size per post
2.Max size per attachment
3.Max number of attachments per post

If I want to set every post can have maximum 4 attachments, and each attachment's maximum size 250kb, how should I set the Max attachment size per post, should i set it to 1MB? Did I understand it correctly? Thanks.

multiply 1025 by 250, and that's th attachment size. Then set everything else.
