Blank Page while I browse the site?

So here´s what´s up. Sometimes, not always, while I browse the site normally ,I get a blank page for no reason and I have to refresh. It´s extreemly annoying when you want to post since you lose ALL that you wrote and believe me...it´s f****ng annoying.
What could be causing this?

See for yourself. Browse around the site normally and see that you too will get blank pages. Refresh when you get them.
They happen RANDOMLY.

Could this be because I have a different database version than the forum?
I am running SMF 2.0 RC3 but it says RC2 or something

Have you tried emptying your browser's cache and all that?

of course i did. Using another browser is kind of useless when firefox is used nearly by all. That would solve nothing. And it´s weird that you did not get the page. I get it with IE, Chrome,Opera, Safari and Firefox. And so do the other members. I dont know what to do. I ran ALL the maintainence tasks too

I went in using Opera 10.53.

There´s only 1 theme allowed for everyone, the red one. Try browsing more?

To be honest, I sometimes get that all over the net. Here, Google, everywhere.

as I said it happens if you browse more. I think it has something to do with some incorrect database string or something. Probably when I moved the forum :/  ...

Have you tried going to Admin>Forum maintenance and repairing errors?


Maybe doing the same at your site's CPanel?


I've been clicking around in all sorts of topics and it's not happened once.

yup..did that multiple times. I don´t think it´s our host since WE PAY IT GOOD lol. We had some bandwith problems in the past. Now we has unlimited ^^ ...but anyway I did all the tasks and ´´scanned´´ for any errors. None.
It seems that I don´t get the blank page anymore. I wonder when it happens. If I just knew. I mean, it usually happens during the peak hours.

oh one more thing. How is it possible to reach server load 20% with 20 members up and posting? It bans the site for 5 minutes :/
oh and 1 more thing. We have to disable the PM system because the host thinks they are Spam and put´s the site on lockdown for 1 hour every time we surpass the limit which I don´t recall an exact number. Isn´t there a mod to disable email notifications for everything or maybe just the PM system?

With the load thing, do you have a shoutbox, or chatroom?


If either of those is set to "Real time", that'll send your load through the roof.

Don't think there're any mods.


EDIT: Your host must be pretty awful, if e-mail notifications are hassling him.


Time to find a decent host, I think.
