For us "new guys/gals in town" please explain (or point to a thread) how you made THIS web site.
What tools do you use?  What MODS?  What themes? What is custom and what is out of the box.

THANKS for the info - it will help in understanding how to use SMF in the real world.   :D

Would you buy a used web site from this guy? ;-)

Nearly everything on this site is powered by SMF in some way. Almost all of it uses SSI.php (Search for ssi), a few things use the SMF API (available from the download page). SMF makes it easy to build a website around it by just utilising the SMF template system. In terms of tools, I personally use UltraEdit, I think [Unknown] uses conText. I'm sure [Unknown] can spread more light on these things.

You'd actually be amazed how much you can achieve with the integration tools available :)
I'm only a half geek really...

This website uses SMF (of course), a custom-made theme, and I believe the Buddy List mod.

The Buddy List is not a mod in 1.1 ;)

There's only one mod installed, it's the links like this: [ [ topic name ] ].

I've been using Visual Studio .NET of late.

Thanks.   :D

Are there any samples on how you used the SSI & API ???

I use UltraEdit also.  Very nice editor.
