Sometimes I want to completely start over with a forum. Or I have a testforum installed at my host.

Till now it happens three times I wanted to completely remove a forum and some maps couldn't be deleted.

It are always Packages, Attachements and cache map that are unable to be removed. So all of them maps that are used by SMF to write files in.
The maps are empty, so no files leaved in it. Permissions set to 777 but still unable to delete them.

All files and maps are transmitted via FileZilla so I should expect they all have the same owner and the same permissions at install. What can be the reason that those maps can't be deleted after some time ?
As a matter of fact I think this is also the reason that using the package manager gave a lot of problems and MOD's mostly have to be installed manualy.

sorry for the delay!
it doesn't seem to be SMF related, you'd probably want to contact your host about that

Thanks for your reaction

The problem was hidden content. FileZilla didn't show it to me.
I had to force FileZilla to show hidden content via the settings.
After that I could remove te last file and als remove the directory.
