Site operating on RC3, can I use an RC2 theme? If not, can I mod to make work?

As the title says.  We are seeing some very minor clipping on the left side of the site.  Our site is RC3 but really need to use an RC2 theme due to availability of theme and our target audience.  If RC2 themes should not be used, is there a patch or update that can be added? What the differences regarding themes and site revisions?

there are small changes and 99% cases it wont work out of the box. try to install it and see it yourself, just change it for you on the profile page

rc2 has .css issues that are corrected in rc3.
