Heyo team,

I'm having some problems installing packages on my SMF installation. Here's the server setup:

CoburnOS Server Edition (Debian-based Server Distro created by me)
PHP 5.3.2-1
MySQL Server 5.1
Nginx 0.7.x

The thing is that when I go to install any packages, it will fail with:
Quote from: SMF Package Manager
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

Yes, I have chmodded the folders correctly. Here's what they are set to:

I can successfully upload packages to the server, and they get placed in the Packages folder on the server's HDD. When I go to install the package, I get the usual package readme info, I enter my FTP account info, it churns away and does some stuff. Then it errors out with that error message. Clicking "Install Mod" then just gives me that error all the time.

I have gone over everything I can do sort this out, but it's really stumped me. Can you guys (and girls) help? If you can, that would be excellent!

Cheers,

Make a folder in "Packages" directory called "temp" and change Cmod in to "777" and Also make sure the Packages folder and all the files in it are writable (777 or 755).

and also install this mod(http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=724) manually.

Oh, thank you so much! I'm in your debt. :P

That 'make temp folder' trick worked fantastically. Thanks again!
