Or, use a minimalist-styled theme for your forum, or cut out all of the unneccesary features you don't need. But that'd be a little bit too hard

Also, make sure your hosting provider is running properly. This is the most common issue among speed.

Well there are diffrent ways of optimising your website
for a start do you host the server or is it hosted by someone else as you can make it faster if you own it by adding in optimisation tools

Remember, if you feed your server cookies and beer, it'll react differently to a normal server.
