SMF API - Topic search

Hi all,
with new SMF 2x and its APIs it will be possible to show in the website some topics searched from forum?

Let me explain little more clearly. I don't have topics for each article that I write into my website so I would like to do a research into forum DB and find out last 5 topics related. As keys for research I will give to the code manually every times with article tags.

For example a function like this one

Sorry for getting to this late.

As far as I know, there is nothing that allows it to show topics from the forum.

Now thats not saying that its impossible, just that nothing has been made or established  yet.
