Registration Issue - Need immidiate help please

When a user tries to register for my forum they can't see the anti-spam image. How do I fix?

Captcha?

Check the registeration settings. If it is enabled but still doesn't show up then the server package that controls captcha might not be installed.

Just to make sure, is this a mod?

You most likely dont have the image in the right place (although I'm not sure what kind of image/file it is), right click on the broken image, click "view image", take a look at the file path and check the folder where the image should be, if its not there then thats most likely the issue.

(I think, dont take my word for it LOL)

This is not a mod. The image in the screenshot has a path of themes/default/images/theme/backdrop.png


When I download the image and open it I get the attached image.

I'm assuming that's not the image it's supposed to be. How do I correct?

It looks like you have clicked on the background rather than the broken image (or the broken image wont let you click on it so it directs to the background image) as the background image, if you are using the default theme is backdrop.png.

Can you post a link? I went onto the forum thats in your signature but that one doesnt use an image so I assume its for a different site.

Ok, this is reopen. I installed CAPTCHA and that resolved the original issue.

Now, when a user clicks the register button after thay have entered e-mail, username, etc it gives an error.

Well it's on the register page. If I enable the feature it will prevent users from registering for the time being. I'll enable for you right now. At the moment it's not showing an image at all.

Odd! The image has completely gone, its not broken, its just not there.

Check inside the default theme directory.


Do you have a "fonts" directory?


Is it and it's sub-directories/files read-enabled?

It is not an image that is continu there, it is an dynamic image, created at each registration.

Start looking in phpinfo if GD is activated or maybe GD2. Without this running on your server you'll never be able to use this images at registration.

By the way, Captcha is, as far as I know, an age controll and has nothing to do with the images.
