Portal for SMF 2.0 RC3 with SQLite

Hi Guys,

I am using SQLite for my SMF forum (SMF 2.0 RC3) - hxxp:accel-india.tk [nonactive]

I need a portal to use with this forum. I tried to use Tiny Portal and it crashed. Does any other portals work with SMF 2.0 RC3 and SQLite?

you can try PortaMx, SimplePortal, ezportal ...

As far as I know all SMF-portals are using the SMF databaseroutines, so, all portals should work fine.

There are various portal mods which can be used.

If I am correct in saying you are new to forums and portals then I would suggest simple portal (www.simpleportal.net)

Simple portal will give your forum a proffessional look too.

I tried every one of them - At least they didn't crash my forum like TP did, but they returned these errors during installation.

Looks like they may not work well with SQLite.

They all work perfectly well.

All I can suggest is you choose the portal you would like to use with your forum.

Go to the particular portal mods topic which most do have on this forum.

Post the eror within the mods topic so someone can help you resolve the issue.

I do hope you haven't tried to install all the mods on the forum.

I will say EzPortal and my mods will only work with MySQL and will not work on other database systems.

Yes I know these mods well - have used them on MySQL hosting and they all worked pretty well. Maybe they have a problem with SQLite.

I am using the SMF on a free hosting - hxxp:110mb.com [nonactive] - by default it don't have MySQL - you have to pay.

I will say most mods will have an issue with SQL lite/Postrgre SQL if they are creating their own tables or doing complex database work since most mod authors only deal with MySQL and do not have SQL Lite or Postrgre to test with.

Hmm - will SQLite/Postrgre SQL be something that mod creators look into in the future?
