Changing SMF Location

Right now, SMF is just right in my main folder: hxxp:domain.com/ [nonactive] but will it be okay if I do what this post says:

I plan on moving it to hxxp:domain.com/forums/ [nonactive]
That post is just saying about renaming the folder, but since I'm creating a whole new folder, I guess I have to cut and paste the files into the "forums" folder via FTP. Would this work?

Yes, it will work, just fix everything up with repair_settings.php.
