New problem

I'm running smf 2.0 rc3 and a few mods including tiny portal 1.05. beta 5-1

My forum seems to be running strangely.

Some times it works find but when I click on forum the background goes all white and the catagories are all in the left hand side.

the forum url has index.php?wwwRedirect on the end of it which seems strange.

I've run repair_settings.php but it still is doing the same thing!

Any help would be appreciated.

From what I remember ( I may be wrong) it looks like your themes settings.

Is it the default theme you are using?

yes, i'm using the default theme

That's weird... try going into the Manage Install page for themes, and select the overall forum default to the default theme, and in the Reset Everyone To menu, select the default theme as well. This makes everyone use that theme.

If that doesn't work, did you happen to try to modify the default theme?

I tried that already and it didn't work.

I wasn't modifying the default theme but I did try and reset all themes when this started?

Do you have any redirects set in cpanel.

yeah I have one redirect.

I am redirecting : www.edinburghderby.com to www.edinburghderby.com/derby

I removed the redirect but the same problem was there.

those links did help and it looks a lot better but the images in the forum seem to be now showing now!

Make sure the images folder in the default theme is there and populated with images and that file permissions are right.

EDIT: Use repair_settings.php to correct the url for the images. Looking at it now the image urls are not right.

I ran that and all the urls seem to be pointing to the correct directory but the images are just the same.

Turned out the probelm was due to a DOS attack on my account and the server had limited the account.
