For performance reasons, I believe the postcount of sub childboards won't be counted.

They do get counted in mine... I think there might be a setting somewhere to turn it on or off... Hmm will go look.

Yeah its a setting - Go to Admin > Features and Options > General > Check the "Count child's viewers and posts in parent's totals" box.

I'm talking about the childboards of childboards.

cms (6/17)

I'm not using those, so I'm not sure. For as far as I know it will take a hugh load on the server retrieving that information. Which is also the reason there's an option to count posts from the childboard.

gigabytes

Not everybody uses them and as the other person said, they require a lot of server load when the data is retrieved.

Awilum

an that in SMF maybe only

root cat
--> cat1

No, it's the way how SMF counts messages and topics. Its not even a bug.
I think there is even an messages shown when you ad a sub-sub board the messages aren't count.
Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

Awilum

its bad because

root cat
--> cat1
----> cat2
--------> cat3
--------> cat4

cat3 and cat4 are not useful with out correct statistic on the main board(category)
