I know  :)

And welcome to SMF  ;)

Is this the real error or did you translate it from another language?
Did you receive any errormessages during the upgrade?

Can you provide a link to your forum?
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Which file? Settings.php?

It will do. If you upgraded from v1.x it doesn't replace that file.

My RC3 forum's the same.

sachin_iam

kat

These mods...

Are they mods that were already on your site?

If so, they'll be for v1.1.11 and most likely won't work with v2.x

sachin_iam

YA THESE WERE already on my forum... now i am trying to install new.. one....
but in maximum, i am getting error...
can i get new mods for.... my new 2.0 smf....

Did you delete the old mod packages first? It would help if you posted what is the error you get too :)

kat

If that were me, I'd run the upgrade, again. Or, just replace the files.

Then, get new mods and install those.

sachin_iam

:) NO I DIDNT DELETED OLD MODS....how can i delete directly....?
do i have to...
shud i run update or upgrade....?
what to do now...?
shud i also replace the file from the 2.0  upgrade folder which i donloaded from smf?
and from where shdu i replace files...?

kat

Calm down... ;)

Dearchive the upgrade file that you used.

Using FTP, Upload everything to your site, overwriting what's there, now. (If you're using Filezilla, make sure transfers are set to "binary", not "auto".

DON'T UPLOAD UPGRADE.PHP, though.

That should sort you out.

Then, using FTP, again, delete all the mods that are in your "Packages" directory.

BACKUP!!!!

Then, start installing mods and themes.

BACKUP after each mod install, if it works OK.

Maybe you do not know sachin_iam, but posting in all caps it is considered as shouting in the web world and as such is not polite :)

kat

OK, when thanking, though. ;)
