I cannot access any part of my website right now and all that I am getting is:

http://www.thefirstgeneration.com/index.php [nofollow]

Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

How can I fix this?

Two possibilitys:

There is an problem with your host. (most probably)
There is something wrong in settings.php
Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

You might try this...

Log in to PHPMyAdmin and select the database.
Check all the tables and then select "Check Tables" from the drop down box.
If a table shows as "crashed", select it and check "Repair".
Check all tables again and select "Optimize" from the drop down box.

(Be alert, mucking about in there.   Click carefully.)   :)

My apologies, but I am taking a break from accepting PM requests for support.  If I am not currently assisting you, please do not ask as long as this notice is posted.  Thank you.

Thanks gbso,

The messages table was marked as crashed and once it was repaired all was good. :)
