hi all i have a take a look at this pic



these are sub boards i.e child boards why doesn;t it show the latest post on the right it is all just blank unlike the normal boards which show the latest post is there a setting or something cause cannot find it

Last posts should show there. Do they show if you switch to the default theme?

no but i am beginning to this it is normal cause it is the same on all categories with child boards

You are now using a custom theme. You do have tried switching to the SMF Default theme and lasts posts don't show either?

Did you install a modification before this happened?

they dont show on the default theme either as for mod i havent really installed anything lately

you are right i just looked here and it does show the post mine does not on either theme

Are there any errors in your errorlog? Could you try this?
Admin -> Maintenance -> Forum Maintenance -> Find and repair any errors

Are these childboards or childboards within childboards (grandchildren )?

just a suggestion , try replacing your MessageIndex.template.php with original one in smf installer.Might be some code missing in your file

i think it's just 1st level child boards

it is just 1 level where is that file you want me to replace located

look in your theme folder , if it not there the got to this location

themes\default\MessageIndex.template

i replaced the

sources/messageindex.php

with the one from the install package and it had no effect


already did that a while back

i just replaced it with the install package one and it also did not work
