Editing the footer?

I know I can't remove or edit SMF's copyright, but am I allowed to add my own copyright?  (Ex. © LPD Social 2010 below the SMF copyright.)
I'd like to add my own copyright, since I plan on using some custom graphics.  However, I'll be using Dzinerstudio's Inferno theme.  Should I write it as "© LPD Social 2010" or say more like "Graphic Modifications to Inferno Theme © LPD Social 2010"?

there is a custom copyright mod you could install, also a header and footer mod
