Fantastico can sometimes give out dated info. I had a SMF installation of 1.1.10 once, which at the time was the latest version and it said the latest version was 1.1.7. So it depends in your host updates Fantastico or not. Also if you even installed the software through Fantastico.

Yeah, and anything you don't use, remove, because it could be the cause.

All seems to be ok with my forum now. We're not really sure that it was actually a hack intrusion. It looks now like it might have been some messed up settings when i was doing some work on the forum. We can't be sure at this point, but one thing we do know that our server is quite secure from all we can see. We know that WP is up to date.

Server tech might of restored a backup.

Anyways, glad everything is back up and working. I'll mark this solved.
