Possible to define areas which messages are "unread"?

Is it possible to define which areas alert from new messages? When I push "Show unread messages" it shows every message from every conversation area. Is it possible to choose some areas only?

Edit: Ah, found it! Not with new areas, but by creating new categories, it does exactly what I want :)
