unable to uninstall mods

for some reason, im un-able to un-install any mods. could this be that i removed the version of smf from my footer? i kept the WHOLE smf copyright but the 2.0RC3. would that be why?

No. That wouldn't cause it, infact there is a mod to remove the version number.

What do you mean you are un-able too?  The uninstall link doesn't show, or that you get tests failed? Can you please be as specific as possible. Is there also anything in your error log?

this is odd, my error log doesnt say anything. i would be perfectly compfortable if you had an idea of what it may be to let you take a look. basically i am unable to download a mod. it will download to the server but wont let me install it. i am able to uninstall smileys and avatars.
any more idea's???

Agreed, check with your host to see if they have safe mod enabled. All files should be CHMOD to 644 while all folders should be CHMOD to 755.
