Performance 1.1.x vs. 2.x

Does anyone know how 1.1.x compares against 2.x in terms of performance, specifically CPU/memory consumption? I'm running a 1.1.x board now, and my web provider is complaining bitterly about CPU and memory usage, so I was wondering whether upgrading would help, or harm my problem.

Sorry for getting to this late zephyrjs. 2.0 is slightly better than 1.1.x in performance.
