How to move my site to another host

hi guys,
i m hosting my site http://myemobiles.com on a layered panel host provided by http://awardspace.com.
the file manager config is /home/www/myemobiles.com.

Now i m going to move it to a Cpanel host. plz help me how can i move it?

should i just upload the files and database there or i need to edit something in database?
And how to import members too. i have almost 900 members and i dont want to lose them.

Just upload your all files and database there and run this file afterwards

Repair Settings.php

this will reset all the paths for your site. After resetting the paths just remove the file and you are done

but the prob. is the mysql database wouldnot be same after moving . { i think so } . then how can i import the database?

You can change your MySQL settings either by editing Settings.php or using repair_settings.php as pointed out by Joker™ which will allow you to fix the paths of your forum alongside.

but its not told what to do if the directory of earlier host is diff than /public_html , as i was on other host the directory there was /home/www/sitename and also the database names can't be same both places then its not easy to import database there.

Now copy your original site files in the site you made in your pc , it's like moving your host . Try to use repair_settings.php you will get all your answers
