Session verification failed - trying to Sticky a post

I get this error when trying to Sticky a post... Session verification failed... try logging off... blah blah. This happens when I try make a post to be a sticky.
I have changed my Server settings to: (as advised to do in another post).

Enable local storage of cookies - uncheck
Use subdomain independent cookies - check
Force cookies to be secure - uncheck

database driven sessions - check

I have made no changes recently and this is a new development... can anyone help me.

Ok seems to be sorted... only happens in IE8?!?  Mozilla works fine... Damn these browsers!

Anyone got any advice on which is the most stable browser... sheesh.... keep having to switch browsers to edit my site.

If I edit a post in IE8, it results in all the BBcode being displayed in the editted post...? Not so in Mozilla or Google Chrome...
Then in IE8 are those stupid Incompatibility refreshes... driving me nuts!

I believe there's an option in IE8 to emulate IE7, what should improve the behaviour. Not sure though, given up on IE a long time ago.

Try to change the SMF coockie name in server settings
