I was trying to update from 2.3 to 2.5.1, and got errors trying to uninstall, edited the various files to remove all code associated with SAVE (cute, btw), and then the install ran fine.

Except it didn't. It copied the files appropriately, but didn't do the edits. Once I manually edited the files, all was well. This on 2.0.8.

On a related note, the ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english-utf8.php file is not set up with the PHP tags, it's just plain text, if that matters.

In any case, all is well, thanks for a great mod!

Just got this addon - I'm running a website over SSL and would like to embed Youtube. So I'm using the following format in an attempt to embed:

As you can see, it is being changed to http:// - is there any way to keep the protocol as https? Browsers generally disallow running http:// content on a full https:// site.

Hello, I installed this mod on 2 forums (2.08). I have 1 working and the other won't install the package. I keep getting a post.php test failed.
I double checked the edits to that file and they look correct. I even tried copying the post.php file from the forum that is working to the one that isn't and I still get the same error. I'm kinda stuck as to what to do now. Any help is appreciated.
BTW This mod works awesome on the forum that I do have it working on.

Any chance this mod could be renamed to something shorter? Like Simple A/V Embedder or the like? The length of the name causes some minor issues in some skins with menu items. Not a big deal, just wondering.

You can modify the title from the text strings in themes/default/langugages/modifications.english.php

I changed it for the admin title so the Lazy Admin mod works correctly with it but not knowing anything about coding, do I have to change each occurrence?

Soundcloud looks no go. But goear looks possible.

As a note to zorer, the problem with SoundCloud is that the link to the item doesn't contain enough information to build the embed style. Specifically for the example, there is no way to know that "inoue-sora/distant-dreams-west-one-music" is "tracks/77679563" without more information than just the main URL. As this package doesn't do fetches of remote content for that type of thing, it's basically impossible.

When you watch a video, are you using the link it gives you when you click 'Share' underneath it?

And like the man said, paste an example url of a video that's not working.
