I am pretty sure its 2.0 RC3.

I had 1.11 installed then realized there was a later one...

WHY IS THAT DOWNLOAD AT THE TOP!

but simple question: What is the latest version on SMF?

The latest stable release is 1.1.11 which you have so you're fine.

If 1.1.11 works just fine for you, keep it.

2.0 is almost ready to go gold, as far as I know. 1.1.11 is recommended, only because 2.0 is still in the RC stages. Otherwise, 2.0 is almost as stable as 1.1.11, and it has many more features. I recommend going to 2.0. My policy used to be to keep 1.1.11 until 2.0 is gold, but I experienced 2.0 first hand, manually hosted and installed, and now I feel weird going back to a 1.1.11 forum as an admin. :P I can still do it, but I now feel much more comfortable with 2.0. ;) It's your choice, but either way, you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for the replys..

I just installed the 2.0 RC3 last night and have had no problems.

I like the core theme the best for what i am doing.

So when 2.0 comes out as non rc, can i upgrade my RC3 to that?

No problem, we are here to help. :)

Also, when 2.0 goes gold, you will be able to upgrade your RC3 to 2.0 Gold. There will be no changes to your forum, except for the version of SMF that you are using. (All posts, PMs, members, etc will remain unchanged) Just remember to always make backups of your forum regularly, and before you install mods, themes, or upgrade your SMF edition.
