mail header issue

[NoFeaR / NFSMW]

I seem to get allot of errors concerning this. The email that is sent out fails.

With the following errors.

What could this be? I am using RC3.

Host or domain name not found. Name service error
    for name=tekomsa.net type=MX: Host not found, try again

PHP and localhost. Thats the only way it works.

Sorry for getting back to this late.

So then why don't you just stick with PHP if it works? You might want to check with your host and SMTP settings. What kind of email address are you using to send emails from?

You dont understand. PHP is the only one that works. I have localhost entered there. Any other settings gives me errors in log of connection refused.

You might want to ask your host if the SMTP port is blocked then. And you really don't even need localhost entered there, it just automatically is. So I ask again, what kind of email address are you using? @publicdomain.com or @yourdomain.com?

publicdomain being something like aol or gmail.

Are the above errors coming from your forum error log? If not, is there anything in there?

when i use my own domain smtp settings they i get an error in the log saying connection refused.
When i use localhost php i get returned mail saying invalid header. I talked to my host about the connection refused error they checked and found nothing.

Those errors look to be comping from the server? Where are those errors popping up at though, your error_log.txt file?

Is every sent message failing, or just the ones mentioned? All the error you posted are legitimate errors and rejections.

it seems only some servers block it.
If i send a email from the website the message fails.
But if i send it from my outlook it works.

When sending from your outlook, are you still sending from the email account that send them from SMF? Are you sure the email is getting to that specific account?

Have you confirmed that your host has set up reverse DNS for your domain. This is absolutely mandatory for many email systems to accept your mail.

I will ask my host.

In outlook i use my correct smtp service
But in SMF that exact same settings i use in outlook are saying "connection refused"

So now i use localhost and get the mail header error.

maybe time for new host, personally cant think of how this can me done otherwise (however I am far from an expert in this area)
