When it's looking fine in the default theme I can only say: Contact the Theme author for a solution.
In that case it isn't an SMF problem.

i have tried man no repsonse so far i was hoping i could get a place to look  i mean that is controlled somewhere whether custom theme or not

Have you tried using compatibility mode in IE?

Glad compatibility mod worked. IE sucks, but whatever, it is what it is.
