Announcment on forum - how?

All,

I need to put up announcements on my forum every now and then and I'm looking for a mod which will do this. I've tried the Yet Another Global Announcements Mod which works fine but I was really hoping for something which would appear above the boards list and be very noticeable.

Just wondering if there is anything like this?

Thanks, unfortunately its not quite what I'm after. I really want a block to appear above the list of boards where I can put an announcement.

A portal can put a block on ever page of your forum, and it can have what ever message you want in it
