the most basic / simplest theme

Hi can any one pls recommend in their opinion the most basic , simplest theme

i want to use SMF as a quasi article manager

i want plain and  simple look and feel ,sort of like a quasi content/manager but without the bells and whistles

i am new to SMF and know nothing about the template system

any suggestions or themes to sample or look at is greatly appreciated

i've played with the "Bloc" simplicity theme and love this the most so far as it gives the SMF a portal CMS look/feel, how ever i want to be able to tinker with the menu system and remove/cut down further

Would you prefer the "Archive/Wireless" mode?

um ... yes .... i say that cautiously as not sure what / where the archive / wireless modes are where they can be set ??
