Great mod.  Though, it doesn't appear to be respecting "Overall time offset" so mid-day it no longer shows the posts for today.  Looking at the install xml it looks like it's using server time, not forum time.  I would love to see this using the forum/user time instead.

I'm thinking of changing:

$bugun = mktime(0,0,0,intval(date('m')),intval(date('d')),intval(date('Y')));
$yarin = mktime(0,0,0,intval(date('m')),intval(date('d'))+1,intval(date('Y')));

to:

$date = forum_time();

$bugun = mktime(0,0,0,intval(date('m', $date)),intval(date('d', $date)),intval(date('Y', $date)));
$yarin = mktime(0,0,0,intval(date('m', $date)),intval(date('d', $date))+1,intval(date('Y', $date)));

Would that work?

Hi erorcun,

in the Mod is an error.
You forgot a lang row:
$txt['cannot_view_todays_posts'] = 'You are not allowed to view today\'s posts!';

Than runs nice on 2.0 Gold

Thanks

Thanks for the mod ;)

I can't find any settings either... please how can I change the mod to display all posts from the last 24 hours instead of just since midnight?  Thanks.

Thank you, that looks great... I just tried to install it but I'm getting the error in installation message:

Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

I'm running SMF 2.0.2 but I get the same error emulating 2.0.  Any suggestions?

I also broke my Today's Posts mod - I tried to modify the code myself, failed and reinstalled the original version and now that's giving me a fatal error too, so I uninstalled and deleted it before I tried to install Topic Filter.  Please help, why is Topic Filter giving me this error and what can I do about it?

Thanks  :)

Could this be customized to show only today's posts from a specific category? Like index.php?action=todayspost;c=3

Thanks for the mod :)

After installing, I found it really useful :p

But there is one tiny problem,
is it possible to make the Today's Posts page show the user with their Display name instead of Username?
Just like Recent Unread Topics and other pages?

I gave a quick glance at the code and it seems to fetch the same field from database, for first and last user. And I see no conditionals so I assume it always uses the username (since it is mandatory).

But, again, this was just a quick glance...

From what I can see, this mod takes the user name from the "messages" table. Which is the user's login name.

Getting it to show the display name is not that simple and will require a re-write of the query rather than just changing the name of a variable.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.
