Spiders, topics and membership groups

If I lock to board to a specific membership group, do search engine spiders still have access to it ?

If not, is there a way to change this ?

Spiders can only access the stuff which are available to the guests.

In Admin > Search Engines > Settings

you can assign any assumed membergroup to the robot.

(Apply restrictive permissions from group
To enable you to stop spiders indexing some pages).

google may penalise you for showing it content that isnt available to guests

Valid point and the option help file is salient too....

You might for example wish to create a new group called "Spiders" and select that here. You could then deny permission for that group to view profiles to stop spiders indexing your members profiles.
