2)

create a new membergroup, for instance called "NoShout"
Set all permission for this new membergroup to "No", except the permission to use the shoutbox. Set that permission to "Denied".
Add the user you want to stop shouting to that usergroup. (So, he will be connected to more then one usergroups)

In this way he will keep all his permissions except for using the shoubox.

Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

i make this new membergroup,
but i just can figure which tables this membergroup can see.....

nothing about shoutbox of sp.

visualuser

ok look how i fix the point with shoutbox.

1. I make the new membergroup named "bad people" with full rights in order to read / write in all tables.

2. then i make a new shoutbox which i call it private etc.....,
where in the point  which membergroup has access to that shoutbox,
the "bad people" is out...  O:)

So now,
i have two shoutbox, one for all members which now is active,
and a new one with members minus bad people profile.

When the scenario comes up,
and the bad member shouts very very ungry,
i will change his profile to bad people.

After that, normal shoutbox is close,
and the second one is now open for the rests.....

How this sounds, as a soloution to ban a user,
as long as you like until you will change his profile?
