Hi.. I have a problem with my packages in the admin center.
Its basically saying that all the packes are not installed.

What I did was rebuild my server from scratch..
I uploaded all the files and restored the database..
I did however upload the packages folder last.
Now when I goto packages its basically just asking me if I wanna install them all.
When they are already installed..

I dunno what to do to correct this.

Please can some one help me with this.

I'm using SMF 2.0 RC2
Error occurs in default theme also.

Can you please upgrade to SMF 2.0 RC3 first?

It might not matter but it's better to upgrade to latest version rather then seeking help for an old buggy version.

This may help you:

Upgrading SMF

Just use the SMF 2.0 RC3 large upgrade package, should be here: http://download.simplemachines.org/index.php?thanks;filename=smf_2-0-rc3_upgrade.tar.gz

Yeah but how am I gonna port all my mods over...
I am very reluctant to upgrade because of all the mods I have and depend on alot of them because of the forum.
Half of them are no longer compatable

I done loads of custom edits to the scripts aswell. I can't remember half of them.

Some of the mods may work in RC3 using the emulate feature in the package manager.

Yeah.. Also about the custom script edits I made also :( .....
I seriously forgot alot of what I edited....
Would take me hours.. Were in the middle of some new content activity is high ATM

Not a good time to start pulling the website down..
Also the packages.. I dunno which ones are actually installed now because its not telling me :(

I have done full restores of the site before and this has never happened. :(
Plus.. I was kinda waiting for it to become gold because. No doubt Id update and have to do it ALL again..
Thats the only reason I put it off.

what you think is better? spending some hours to make a good forum in a non-buggy version or spending ur whole life on an out-dated version? just upgrade..

before you do anything get a backup of all files via ftp and also a backup of your sql db, that way you can try options and restore back if it doent work, nothing to loose then
