dang. I want to try this, but with all the packages Im using and mods I made to my themes Im scared! $:-\$

yeah..thats unevitable I am afraid. Currently updating all my themes..a good compare tool is essential.

gotta love the new Admin interface!
pretty easy and the new permession interface is also easier than old versions!

found a typo in Generate Reports -> Group Permessions
a text appear as "profile_edit_own:" instead of user friendly note "Edit own profile"

Maybe a bit of newbie question....but hey..this is a learning process for me....

I want to upgrade my 1.0.5 forum to 1.1 beta 3 public....i have done a backup via the Forum Maintence section and got a zipped file that won't open, also did an unzipped one that is a notepad file that appear to contain everything ever done on the forum...

If the upgrade goes wrong...how do i restore my forum using the backup?
And do i need to backup the SQL database seperately?

why not to take a site backup through cpanel....... if anything goes wrong simply upload it.......................but better to wait for some expert `s reply..

There's a mod for that. It's easily installable and works on Beta 3 Public.

how will the upgrad to 1.1 affect my templates/themes? will for example my modified version of the default template work in 1.1?

Hi,

I got this error when I tried to sign into my forum, I put the forum into maintenence mode

I also got this error when I tried to run upgrade php
