Gender not appearing in postbit

This has been bugging me since last night and I just cant seem to work it out - the "gender" field isnt appearing on post bits even when its filled out in the profile and appears on profiles. I havent made any changes to the display template.

I've tried uninstalling mods (although when I noticed it there was only SimplePortal installed) and it makes no difference. The display template has all the gender code in it etc.

Have you enabled them? It is in the configuration > current theme...

I'm such an idiot... No I hadnt enabled them. I completely forgot about that setting LOL!
